"Keeping Public Education Strong in Wisconsin"
An Open Mic Night focusing on the future of public education in Wisconsin will be held at the Firefly Coffeehouse in downtown Oregon on Thursday, February 7th. This topic is of importance at this time while funding for education is under discussion at the state and local levels. Special guests will include Sondy Pope, a ranking member of the Wisconsin State Assembly's Education Committtee, Jeff Leveritch from the Wisconsin Education Association Council, and some local educators. There will be opportunity for citizens to express their views on any topic of concern.
