Oregon Area Progressives believe that healthcare is a human right, and that a single-payer system with comprehensive coverage for all is the best model to ensure access to safe, affordable medical options.
Oregon Area Progressives supported the efforts made by the Obama Administration when it developed and ushered through the passage of the Affordable Healthcare Act in 2010. We encourage the WI State Legislature to expand access to Badgercare to provide healthcare coverage for thousands of Wisconsinites, especially the elderly, children, and those living in poverty.
